Who we are
ReWrite is a startup founded by scientist from the Stem Cell Institute Leuven (SCIL)
SCIL was founded in 2005 at KU Leuven in Belgium and since then accumulated extensive knowledge and expertise in stem cell reprogramming and genome editing. ReWrite embodies the collective enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit of a team of dedicated scientists, led by prof. em. Catherine Verfaillie and spearheaded by Dr. FatemehArefe Nami.

Project FIT: Muscle Stem Cell Therapy
Within the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, ReWrite is collaborating with leading universities and innovative companies on Project FIT (IMR6-00132). We are advancing personalized therapies using patient-derived muscle stem cells to treat rare disorders, age-related muscle loss, and heart diseases.
This initiative brings together expertise from Maastricht, Leuven, Liège, Hasselt, and Aachen to deliver high-quality, affordable treatments for conditions where effective options are currently lacking.
